ERMA FIRST was in the CSL’s shortlist of 4 BWTS manufacturers. The CSL Group Inc. is the world’s largest owner and operator of self-unloading vessels.
We were present at the Technical Meeting, took place in Montreal-Canada in the beginning of December 2015.
The subject was a 30 minute technical presentation and a 20-30 minute Q&A with CSL’s technical staff.
Topics worth to be noted:
- USCG tests and the timelines
- The most challenging issue was the fresh water operation of ERMA FIRST BWTS, that satisfying answers were given by ERMA FIRST
- ERMA FIRST is the first company that started a seaboard test for USCG approval with Great Ship Initiative (GSI), an NSF subcontractor for BWTS testing
