ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions S.A is seeking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team:

Main responsibilities

  • Use advanced CAD/CAE systems for 3D and 2D design and drafting tasks for components, systems, piping networks and metallic structures.
  • Perform engineering studies for the successful implementation of the system on new building and retrofit installations by analyzing customer requirements, technical challenges and international rules.
  • Participate in the Product Development through inception, proposal and successful completion of internal projects that will bring new technologies and/or new design, manufacturing and installation methods.
  • Collaborate with other departments and/or subcontractors for the successful execution of system installation projects by effectively applying engineering principles and techniques, participate in design review meetings and provide technical solutions  in accordance with the international standards and rules.
  • Provide technical support to other departments.
  • Communicate with suppliers for technical issues.
  • Communicate with customers, subcontractors and classification societies to resolve technical problems.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 1 -2 years of previous relevant experience as a Design Engineer.
  • Previous experience in the Marine Industry would be considered an asset.
  • Very good knowledge of SOLIDWORKS, Autocad or other similar CAD and CAE tools.
  • Previous experience with ERP and PDM software would be highly evaluated.
  • Good knowledge of English

ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions S.A is seeking to hire a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team:

Main responsibilities

  • Design, implement and install PLC programs for the Ballast Water Management systems.
  • Perform PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA applications for the integration of the system onboard vessels.
  • Support the commissioning teams by ad-hoc problem-solving during installation
  • Propose upgrades for the automation by introducing new electrical automation devices, instruments and improved control logic.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 5+ years of professional experience in relevant role (any previous experience in Marine industry would be an asset)
  • Very good knowledge of PLC Schneider programming (SoMachine, Vijeo) or any other PLC programming platform
  • Knowledge of network communication protocols (industrial Ethernet, RS232/485, Modbus, Profibus), VPN, wireless networks, as well as configuration of measuring devices
  • Very good knowledge of English

ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions S.A is seeking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team:

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical drawings and perform electrical studies for the proper integration of systems on vessels.
  • Prepare electrical diagrams for guiding the installation teams for the electrical connections of the equipment.
  • Prepare internal diagrams for the control units manufacturing
  • Undertake electrical studies including voltage drop calculations, short circuit calculation, cable sizing, circuit breaker selection etc
  • Evaluate technical specification and requirements of the vessel and select appropriate equipment
  • Review sub-contractors deliverables
  • Provide technical support to other departments
  • Communicate with suppliers in order to resolve technical issues, handle claims and approve technical specifications for components

Job requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of previous relevant experience as a Design Engineer.
  • Previous experience in the Marine Industry would be considered an asset.
  • Very good knowledge of SOLIDWORKS, Autocad or other similar CAD and CAE tools.
  • Previous experience with ERP and PDM software would be highly evaluated.
  • Good knowledge of English; oral and written communication
