ERMA FIRST, a reliable partner for shipyards and ship-owners over the years, is investing in continuous R&D to manufacture new products according to the future needs of the market. We are committed to carry on delivering on time, commissioning on time, maintain our 100% successful commissioning and providing 24/7 technical support and troubleshooting. Our goal is to keep the same level of consistency by keeping our promised results and always strive to exceed our clients’ expectations.
ERMA FIRST has performed extensive R&D since 2007, testing a series of technologies. The scientific personnel of ERMA FIRST has participated in the first-ever project (MARTOB) funded by the European Commission, in 1998 for the technologies development and applications of On-board Treatment of Ballast Water and Application of Low-sulphur Marine Fuel. After rigorous tests, electrolysis has been chosen as the most efficient for the treatment of organisms, which is optimized by high-end mechanical separation systems.
ERMA FIRST, supported by EPE (www.epe.gr), a company that has more than 30 years of experience in marine environment protection equipment production, understands the needs of the vessel and provides with a futureproof system. Having installed more than 6,500 systems together with EPE, the Team of ERMA FIRST has accumulated about 120 man-years of installing, commissioning and supporting marine equipment.
ERMA FIRST since day one has designed a system that actually works according to the requirements of IMO, USCG and the Classes. ERMA FIRST BWTS FIT holds IMO Type Approval, USCG Type Approval and AMS Acceptance Letter by USCG. Having chosen the most challenging waters in the world to perform all the necessary tests, the system has proven capable to operate in extreme conditions of high sediment, low temperature and low salinity. Unlike competitors, ERMA FIRST promotes the same, reliable systems and technology from the very beginning, until now.
